Science Teacher Steve Fowler Passes Away
A letter from NSCHS Principal Dr. Lisa Stueve:
It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected loss of one of our beloved teachers, Steve Fowler. Mr. Fowler was a science teacher at our school for 13 years, and had been with the Fulton County School System for 15 years.
Mr. Fowler passed away due to heart failure at Emory Hospital. We ask that you join us as we extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Fowler’s family and to the students and staff who were close to him.
We will share details about memorial services and funeral arrangements as they become available. For now, please help us comfort students and staff who were close to Mr. Fowler.
This is a great loss to the North Springs community. Please comfort your children during this difficult time, or encourage them to seek available counseling at school. Our counselors are available at any time to talk with students who have difficulty with this news.
FOMAS Board
Each year, a cadre of special parents and
faculty work to make math and science education at NSCHS the
best it can possibly be for their students. As of the start of
the 2011-2012 school year, the people making up the board
include:
-
Skip Addison - President
-
Jill Sanders - Treasurer
-
Jeff & Kayla Lewis - Communication Co-Chairs
-
Debbie Anderson - Editor
Margot Harding - Secretary
Bridget Brennan - Community Liaison
Scott Hetherington - Math Dept Chair
Steven Moody - Science Dept Chair
Brian
Jeffrey - Science Magnet Coordinator
Do you have any experience maintaining a web site with content
created by other people? Several FOMAS volunteers and
participants write articles, but FOMAS needs a new webmaster.
Strong math and science education at NSCHS
depends on active, involved parents. Please contact
Skip Addison for more information about how you can help.
